David’s triathlon career is based on a strong foundation in swimming. He graduated high school a seven-time state champion and a two-time New York swimmer of the year. Continuing on with his swimming career at the University of Texas, David was a part of three Big 12 Championship teams, won an individual title in the 200 IM and was an All-American. David competed in the 2000 and 2004 Olympic trials and qualified for the 2008 trials although he chose not to compete. He is also a former member of the US National Junior Team.

After retiring from swimming, David began dental school at the University of Pennsylvania and looked to triathlon training as a way of staying physically fit. David had immediate success. In his first full season, he raced all distances from sprint to Ironman. In 2008 David started nine races and won the overall age group title seven times. Following 2008 David was named the US Elite Age Grouper of the year and received his pro card shortly after.   More…
